93 fourth and fifth grade students will trying to become the 2012 ambassadors for the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival at the Key Bank Tulip Ambassador Event on Feb. 9 at Cascade Mall in Burlington, WA.

Each candidate will answer two questions. The first will be “Why do you Want to be a Tulip Ambassador.” The second question will be drawn from a random set of five questions and the candidate will be asked to answer that question as well. Candidates will be judged on their responses, poise, and confidence. Judges are members of the Tulip Festival Board of Directors.

Candidates to become an ambassador must attend school in Skagit County and must be in 4th and 5th grade.
