Teresa Saia, the 2015 poster artist, got her start right here in Skagit County, participating for many years as part of the Art in a Pickle Barn show. Her work showcases her signature style with a dynamic use of color and a sensitivity for light. Teresa uses many mediums for her paintings, but she chose to use a pure dry pigment pastel on an archival sanded paper for the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival poster art.
Tulip fans will appreciate her expressive use of radiant and rich color and identify with the romantic and peaceful feel she has conveyed in her painting. Teresa paints from a Pioneer Square studio in Seattle. Her work can be seen at the Howard/Mandville Gallery in Kirkland, Studio Siena in Seattle and at the Vail Fine Art Gallery in Vail, Colorado. Fans can also visit her website, http://www.teresasaia.com
Perennial Favorites will develop the official merchandise of the festival, using the talents of Ginny Bode for the graphics design.
All the official festival products and merchandise will be unveiled on November 13, beginning at 5:30 pm at Skagit Valley Gardens. Check back here for more information as the date draws closer.
