April 25 Update: Tulips in bloom! Try Hwy 20 to avoid traffic or exit 221; Use map for help

April 25 2017

The tulips are here!

Consider taking Exit 230 off I-5, near Burlington and north of Mount Vernon (there’s little traffic north of Exit 226).  Head west, toward Anacortes and at Pulver Road, turn left and stop in Skagit’s Own Fish Market for maps and directions.  Or, stay on Hwy 20 to BEST Rd, turn left, and continue to the roundabout…go east and you’re in the heart of tulip country, with Tulip Town a left hand turn in about a mile and RoozenGaarde a right hand turn a little farther down McLean.

If you take exit 221 at Conway, you will be heading west on Fir Island Road—you can get a Official Festival brochure at Pasek Cellars in Conway or just follow the tulip route signs. You can also access our interactive map on our website and that will get you directions.

This weekend we have art shows and the Tulip Charm Princess Party for the younger set. In addition the 4-H Petting Farm, and South Fork Farms (alpacas) are available for visitors. We also suggest visiting one of our wineries (we like Pasek Cellars, home of our official wine, or Tulip Valley Vineyard, home of our official festival cider).

Be sure to try out Forte Artisan Chocolates in downtown Mount Vernon.
