February 08 2013
Two fifth grade students from the Burlington-Edison school district are the 2013 Tulip Ambassadors. Carlos Roques, a student at Edison Elementary and Jennifer Ramirez from Allen Elementary will represent the Festival in parades, at public meetings, a meeting with Governor Inslee, and events throughout the County until next February.
The two competed with some 80 other students at the Key Bank event held at the Cascade Mall in Burlington on February 7. They impressed the judges with their confidence, their ability to think on their feet, and their winning personalities.
Thanks to Key Bank, both for their financial support and the dozen or so staff members who helped with the festivities. Thanks, too, go to Cascade Mall for the great staff who hosted our event.
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the competition!
